FAQ
I have a project I'd love to work with you on! How do we get started?
First, you'll need to fill out the form on the Bookings page; this will help me understand more about you and what your project involves and what services and assistance you need exactly. I will then respond with an email asking to set up a meeting to discuss your project in more detail. Afterwards, I send out contracts and invoices for everything to be made clear and for us to settle on an agreement.

Then we can begin the project! The services and project type depends on how I interact and communicate with you; for example recording would be in real-time with use of Ninjam or Pro Tools Cloud whereas mixing and mastering would be more of a screensharing scenario where I let you hear and see the changes I'm making so we can work together in crafting your sound. I start with small ideas and concepts first before going in-depth with any ideas that we both agree upon, allowing the project to flesh out more and more until we come to a final work that has your vision and my expertise interwoven to create a fleshed out and/or vibrant piece.

Once we reach the final stage of the project and everything's wrapped up, I will send over the files (recorded/mixed songs, mastered songs, musical compositions etc.) as well as some notes detailing the process for future productions and/or if you happen to work with any other business or engineers and wish to show them the exact work done to your material in writing.

After all is said and done, I will wait for the song to be released before uploading it to my folio where listeners will be able to hear the songs on Spotify!
What is your turnaround time? How long do you take on a project?
This changes depending on a few factors; only mixing a 4 track EP would take me roughly 2 days whereas a full production of a 4 track EP plus additional performances would take me possibly 4 to 5 days. It depends on things such as how many services I am providing, the length of a project, and the work that needs done to the material. Overall, though, I tend to work as swiftly and efficiently as possible to ensure that clientele do not have to wait for too long and feel as though they are being neglected in any way at all.
I live outside of Glasgow, but I'm still interested in your services. Can I still hire you out?
Absolutely! All services can be provided online to any client anywhere in the world, so long as they have an Internet connection and access to online collaboration tools. I often work with clientele over Zoom for the most optimal audio quality while screensharing, allowing you to hear and see the work I'm doing on your project so we can maintain full transparency and so that you can work alongside me to help craft your material with as much clarity and focus on your vision as possible.
I noticed there are no rates or prices on your site. Why is that?
Because each project varies in length, size, dedication and commitment, having fixed prices would lead to some clientele being over-charged and others under-charged; a 4 track EP would be the same price as a 15 track album if I were to record, mix, and master it at the same price.

As such, I have customised rates! When you send me your project details via the Booking Form and I receive them in my email, I'll be able to calculate a rate for your project that is perfectly tailored to its size and work involved in it. I can provide a quote very easily if you submit your details to me via the Contact form, so don't hesitate! I'll be sure to give you a quote as soon as possible!
What payment methods do you take and when do I have to pay?
I take any form of payment however the primary forms would be PayPal, CashApp, Apple Pay, and bank transfers. This is to ensure your money is being handled correctly and so that you have records in your statement of the payment for receipt or budgeting purposes. I do provide an invoice anyway but this is mainly for added safety.

As for the time of payment, this again depends on the project. I do require a 50% deposit up-front before the project begins and then require the other 50% to be paid once the project is finished. Refunds are allowed for the entire project if something arises such as a sudden budget crunch or if you have found someone else you'd like to work with 1 day before the project begins, however I do not refund after the project is finished.
Why should I go with you?
There are a multitude of other online engineers and artists out there that you could easily go for, and I wouldn't blame you, however none of them house all the necessary services to the same degree as I do here at M3. I also tend to see the clientele I work with as future colleagues and potential friends who I can collaborate outside of M3 as a career as I find great enjoyment and thrill in working with all range of artists from all different genres and walks of life.

Instead of merely seeing each project as another quota to fill just to earn money, I see each one as a chance to have a new musical or sonic idea flourish into the world with its spirit and character intact and refined with a focused mind and an expertised touch. I want to see the people I work with truly succeed, from the absolute beginners just starting out and looking to make a demo to the more established looking to have a new album or EP recorded to bolster their musical career prospects, and above all else I want to see every individual person I work with flourish and prosper in such a volatile and saturated industry like the music industry.

There's already a saturated market as is with engineers and musicians alike going global online, but I feel like there's still a gap for people looking to truly prosper from the start with nothing wanting to do something that needs to be filled. Newcomers in the music industry have an incredibly momentous task of trying to get fame unless they can craft something that is a viral hit; I want to do that but also help newcomers have a refined unique sound that helps them stand out individually and prosper in this ever-growing, ever-challenging world and through M3 I honestly hope to build strong connections that last a lifetime that will help people see their dreams become a reality.
I have a question that remains unanswered! What can I do?
You can contact me by my Contact form or by just sending me an email! I'm down to answer any and all questions you have to help you have a better understanding of myself and M3 as a whole and for you to decide if your project should be in my hands!
